Values
We stand for the encouragement of saving and the extention of home-ownership and, as a responsible corporate citizen, to support the local communities in which we operate. 

We deliver what we promise to customers, building a relationship of trust based upon transparency of dealing.  As a mutual organisation we act fairly and responsibly in all dealings with members. 

We invest in staff and endeavour to create a working environment in which individuals are motivated to achieve both their business and personal goals. We recognise that the continued success of the Society is dependent upon the people working within it.

About the Society

We were established in 1850 and are now the 11th largest Building Society, employing 400 people and with assets in excess of £3 billion. We have 22 regionally based branches and 22 agency offices.  We also operate nationally through our intermediary channel and by using the latest technologies in our Contact Centre and via the Internet.
 
We are actively involved in local schools and frequently do talks and offer guidance to school leavers on CV writing, careers and interviewing skills.  Each year we also offer work experience placements to students wishing to gain an insight into Stroud & Swindon.
