New Will Writing Service Launched
10 August 2009: Most people are unaware that a staggering 64% of adults in the UK do not have a Will, a figure which includes 82% of co-habiting couples and 79% of households with dependant children.
Having a Will is important if you are married, live with a partner, have a civil partnership, if you have children or if you are single. If you die without a Will, then you are deemed to have died ‘intestate’ and the law, rather than you, will decide who inherits your estate.
It is important that your loved ones are aware of your wishes when you die and that you decide how you would like to divide your possessions, as well as deciding who could be the guardian of your children.
To help get your Will prepared, your local building society, the Stroud & Swindon, have today launched a new Will Writing service provided by law firm, Irwin Mitchell.
The Stroud & Swindon Will Writing service provides the following:-
- Single Will for individuals.
- Mirror Will for couples in a partnership.
- Asset Protection wills for those who wish to consider ring-fencing their property to ensure that it passes on to future generations or wish to
consider reducing payment of tax or future care fees.
- Will Storage either on an Annual or Lifetime basis.
- Estate administration and Probate.
